Steve Surry (Cumberwell Park)
was confirmed as the 2008 Jamega Tour Order of Merit winner after the final event of the two-day Tour Championship at Bowood.
Although he ended the final tournament by sharing an opening on five under par 67, he followed with 72 to finish joint fourth and win £750.
Glyn Bateman (Royal Eastbourne) won in a play-off.
Wrag Barn’s Martin Sell earned £500 after a three under par total of 141 left him tied seventh.
Sarah Keeley, PA to Swindon’s Ryder Cup player David Howell, presented Surry with his Order of Merit prize, which included a £1,250 cheque and £600 Tag Heuer Formula 1 watch.
Surry pocketed £13,795 during the season to hold a commanding lead over second-placed Sell (£8,130). Lee Corfield (Burnham and Berrow) was fifth (£5,799) and Rob Perrett (Clevedon) 13th (£3,245).
